Aesthetic Orthodontic Treatment with Clarity™ Advanced

Aesthetic orthodontic treatment options are one of our claims to fame, and we have put together an ultra-aesthetic treatment option with traditional braces that works great for patients who are not candidates for Invisalign®.

Traditional metal braces are tried and true but they are yesterday's technology. While we do offer traditional metal braces, we have a better, more up-to-date option with Clarity Advanced aesthetic braces. Clarity Advanced braces work as well as traditional metal braces but have the advantage of outstanding aesthetics.

Clarity Advanced Clear Ceramic braces are made of an innovative new ceramic material for the ultimate in aesthetics. They are stronger and more durable than other ceramic braces, and boast a low profile for comfort. Best of all, we do not charge extra for these benefits and allow patients and their parents to choose between metal and Clarity Advanced at no additional charge.

Excellent patient compliance, good oral hygiene, and minimal appliance breakage are ways that patients can help speed up the treatment progress. The average length of treatment with Clarity Advanced depends upon the complexity of the case. Most take from 18 to 24 months, though simple cases may take less time, and complicated cases may take more time. Patients will need to visit our Bristol or Johnson City orthodontic office every six to eight weeks for adjustments.

Clear Aligners

Clear aligners like Invisalign are ideal for patients who have mild to moderate crowding, mild to moderate spacing, or mild to moderate bite problems. It works best when patients are mature and motivated enough to wear the appliances as prescribed.

Clear aligner treatment uses a series of clear (aesthetic) trays made to move teeth in small increments until the teeth are ultimately in proper alignment. It is simply a different technique to apply forces to teeth to move them into position. In addition to being more aesthetic than traditional braces, they are removable which makes oral hygiene simple. They also tend to be more comfortable than braces.

Typically, with good compliance, clear aligner treatment should not take any longer than treatment with traditional appliances. Similarly, patients will need to visit Dr. Mullins every six to eight weeks to receive new aligners.
